Super Smoothie

$0.00

This is a stretched-out version of the displacement hull, the increased size making it easy to paddle and catch waves while still delivering the speed and flow of a Liddle design.

The full outline encompasses plenty of area in the front half of the board, gradually tapering to a narrow round tail. The bottom contour is heavily rolled in the nose, the convex easing its way down to flat going into the tail. The rocker is shallow with a slight kick in the nose balanced by reduced lift in the tail. The classic foiled Liddle rails have been softened to make turning a breeze.

The Super Smoothie is versatile. It can perform along similar lines to a conventional longboard in smaller waves but can open up as a smooth trim machine once it gets overhead.

Greg Liddle says:

“This is a longer Hull; the template is from a board that Tony Masial, Steve Krajewski and myself started to ride in the 80's when we moved up to 8-foot-plus Hulls as we were getting older and wanted to paddle better, but retain the trim and speed.

It works like a longboard when the waves are smaller but can still bury the rail when it's bigger.”
